The rapid growth of Facilities Management & Engineering in Singapore is driven by increasing project demands. Graduates with a Higher Nitec in Facilities Management & Engineering are employed directly by building stakeholders, contributing to diverse facility development with a focus on community needs, safety, efficiency, sustainability, and environmental impact. This course prepares students to manage construction and facilities maintenance activities in commercial, industrial, institutional, or residential buildings, ensuring regulatory compliance and optimal operation of machinery, equipment, and systems including air-conditioning, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical systems.

Entry Requirements

Admission to Year 1 of the 3-year curriculum structure:

Completed GCE 'N' or GCE 'O' Level

Career Opportunities

Higher Nitec in Facilities Management & Engineering graduates will be able to take on jobs as Site Supervisors, Site Coordinators, Facility Officers, Facility Technical Officers, or Facility Executives. They can also take up the additional role of Fire Safety Manager if they have passed the Fire Safety Management module accredited by SCDF, or work towards being a Registered Workplace Safety & Health Professional with the Ministry of Manpower.
