Ladies and Gentlemen

Introduction

1               ITE has benefited from the strong support of many industry partners. They help us stay abreast of industry transformation, job transformation and work process transformation. They demonstrate to us the use of state-of-the-art technologies, latest equipment and upgraded software. They provide training and mentorship for both our staff and our students.

2               Today, we are very honoured that seven industry partners have come together to help ITE set up this new facility, the UX Hub. The seven industry partners have helped us conceptualise this training facility as well as sponsored various equipment and software. They helped us design three zones (Experience Gallery, Production Studio and, Co-Lab) to illustrate different technologies, industry processes and applications.

UX Hub – New Possibilities

3               This UX Hub will provide an authentic learning environment for ITE staff and students to use the latest digital media technologies.

4               At the Experience Gallery, our students can use the equipment and software to produce immersive media content videos for advertisement. They can develop interactive and digital marketing experiences with Alibaba Cloud hosting. Students will experience what it is like to do omni-channel online and offline interaction with customers.

5               This Experience Gallery also serves as a showcase for other companies to explore new digital technologies for their business processes. Our MOU partners and ITE students will be ready to help the companies customise these digital applications to suit their business processes. Our staff will also be ready to support the training of in-service employees to adapt to the new technologies and transformed work processes.

6               At the Production Studio, students will have the opportunity to use a wide range of sophisticated cameras, tracking equipment and live production system, to do livestreaming and broadcasting. Some guests from the broadcasting industry had visited this Production Studio and they were in awe of the high-end equipment and systems available here!

7               At the third zone, the Co-Lab, students will be able to use a special 3D scanner to create human avatars and content assets for their immersive media production.  New exciting possibilities will be unleashed.

Conclusion

8               ITE is grateful to our seven MOU partners, Alibaba Cloud, Blackmagic Design, Cgangs International, Electronics & Engineering, HP Singapore, Quantum Corporation and SCash Global for their generous support to set up this UX Hub. It will certainly raise the level of skills that our students will acquire. It will also elevate the quality and creativity of their industry projects and the solutioning that they can provide to companies. More importantly, it will enable our ITE graduates to build their careers and thrive in the Creative Industry.

 Thank you.
