Returning Singaporeans with non-GCE / foreign qualifications who wish to apply for ITE full-time courses under the January 2024 intake will need to make an appointment via call or email to apply at the Customer & Visitor Centre of ITE Headquarters between Mon 4 Dec 2023 to Thu 21 Dec 2023.

The following original documents (to be translated into English if in other language) should be produced for verification:

  • Identity Card/Passport
  • Educational certificates with detailed results/transcripts

Admission is subject to intake places available and based on merit.

Applicants will be notified of their application result by end-Jan 2024.

Ongoing ITE students who are currently studying in a course and wish to seek course transfer to another ITE course should apply only during the final application phase.

While all eligible applications for transfer will be given due consideration, meeting the minimum entry requirements does not guarantee a place in the course as admission is also subject to available vacancies in open competition.

Please check the dates of final application phase for the intake exercises before applying.

If you have graduated from a full-time Nitec or Higher Nitec course at ITE and wish to return to do a second full-time Nitec or Higher Nitec course, you may apply for admission one year after graduation. For January 2024 intake, you may submit your admission application if you have graduated before 1 February 2023.

Applicants who are ex-ITE students/graduates may be subject to further evaluation at the discretion of ITE to assess their suitability for the course they have applied for.

For an ex-ITE student/graduate who is admitting into an ITE course, you are to clear any outstanding fee payment from your previous ITE course, if any before enrolling in a new course.

ITE will not be admitting International Students with foreign qualifications or private qualifications to its full-time courses.

Deferment of National Service (NS) for NS-Liable Males

NS-liable males will be granted NS deferment for the pursuit of full-time studies at pre-university government-funded institutions including ITE if they attain a place and are pursuing a course for higher academic qualifications from what they have previously attained (e.g. from N/O Levels to Nitec/Higher Nitec, from Nitec to Higher Nitec or from Nitec/Higher Nitec to ITE Work-Study Diploma/Technical Engineer Diploma/Technical Diploma courses) and NS deferment will no longer be subject to cut-off ages. For latest updates on NS deferment eligibility and policy, you can visit https://for.edu.sg/ns-deferment. Students who are not eligible for NS deferment will need to withdraw from the course that they are enrolled in.
