  • Completed GCE ‘O’ Level; or

  • Passed BEST Module 4 Mathematics (for those with work experience); or
  • Accumulated at least 60 hours of structured On-the-Job Training under the Certified On-the-Job Training Centre (COJT) system.  The OJT must be relevant to the course applied for; or
  • Workplace Literacy & Numeracy (WPLN) Level 5 in Speaking and Listening, and Level 4 in Reading and Numeracy.

You may apply for module exemption/credit transfer by submitting a request in STEP. To do so,

  • Login to the STEP Student Portal.
  • Under Raise Request, select Institute of Technical Education.
  • Under Course/Module requests, select Module exemption/credit transfer.
  • Select the module which you are applying for exemption and provide details of relevant certificate (eg. Nitec or NTC-2) and final transcript.

(4) Applicant must pass an interview and medical check-up for admission.

(6) Applicant will be required to attend an interview and pass a drawing test for admission.

Entry Requirements for ITE Skills Certificate (ISC) Courses

  • Completed primary education; or
  • Passed BEST Module 4 in English or Mathematics; or
  • Have minimum 1 year of relevant working experience; or
  • Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 4 in Reading and Listening; or
  • Workplace Numeracy (WPN) Level 4 in Numeracy.
