For creatives who have the passion to develop their aesthetic sense through designing innovative graphics and crafting out purposeful ideas.

This course will prepare you to perform in key functional areas in graphic design, web development, digital media tools and techniques and multi-media production through 2 specialisations:

1. Graphic Design specialisation equips you with essential skills in visual communication and design principles to create visually appealing and effective designs for various mediums, including print and digital platforms. 

2. Animation & Motion Graphics specialisation equips you with animation principles, storytelling techniques, and how to bring characters and objects to life through movement using various software and tools to create professional-grade animations that showcases their proficiency in animation and motion graphics.

Entry Requirements

Admission to Year 1 of the 3-year curriculum structure:

Completed GCE 'N' or GCE 'O' Level

  • Applicants for this course must ensure that they are free from colour appreciation deficiency.

Progression Opportunities

Higher Nitec in Communication Design graduates with a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 may apply for progression to the following Work-Study Diploma courses at ITE:

Higher Nitec in Communication Design graduates with a GPA of 2.0 and above may apply for progression to the first year of a related diploma course at the Polytechnics. For more details on diploma courses for progression, please refer to the Joint Polytechnic Admissions website.
