This Work-Study Diploma course aims to equip you with the skills and knowledge to manage daily operations at MRT stations and bus interchanges. In addition to routine tasks, you will learn how to navigate service disruptions and security threats, implement contingency plans, and manage crisis situations effectively. This comprehensive training aims to prepare you for a wide range of scenarios in transport operations management.

 

Prerequisite:

  • Work well with others in a team environment
  • Able to articulate and discuss ideas, thoughts and information effectively to achieve common outcomes
  • Able to understand and co-relate information from multiple disciplines to synthesise knowledge and insights, as well as guide decisions
  • Free from colour appreciation deficiency 

 

Job Role:

The proposed course will equip trainees with the skills and knowledge to manage daily operations at MRT stations and bus interchanges. In addition to routine tasks, the work he/she performs may include the following;

  • Navigate service disruptions and security threats
  • implement contingency plans
  • Manage crisis situations effectively

 

Training pattern:

Day Release (subjected to changes) - Trainees attend lessons at ITE for one day per a week and spend the remainder of the work-week at the workplace for OJT.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must meet the following minimum entry requirements:

  1. ITE graduates from any one of the following courses + pass company screening & interview;

    Nitec with GPA ≥ 2:

    • All courses from School of Engineering
    • All courses from School of Electronics & Info-Comm Technology

    Higher Nitec:

    • All courses from School of Engineering
    • All courses from School of Electronics & Info-Comm Technology

    OR

  2. In-service employees+ with:
    • Equivalent qualifications such as Workplace Literacy & Numeracy (WPLN) Level 5 and above
    • Relevant work experience
    • Strong employer endorsement

    +In-service employee may be invited for an admission interview

  3. Free from colour appreciation deficiency
