Do you want to provide customer service in the area of healthcare to patients and ancillary support services in hospital or polyclinic settings?

Join this course to play an active role in enhancing patients’ and customers’ experience.

You will be equipped with the skills and knowledge to provide frontline healthcare patient and ancillary support services for quality inpatient and outpatient customer service, at various service touch points in the hospitals or polyclinics.

 

Prerequisite:

A team player with strong customer service experience & proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Trainees have to work with various stakeholders to provide frontline services to patients & family members. Trainee may need to perform rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

 

Job Role:

The job role of Patient Services Senior Associate includes & not limited to assisting patients’ registration, billing, appointments / re-appointments & enquiries. Other job roles include the provision of financial counselling for patients, handle patients’ admission & discharge documents, maintain patients’ medical records, prepare consultation rooms and provide administrative support & basic clinical procedures at clinics.

 

Training pattern:

Hybrid Release (subject to changes) -- Trainees attend daily lessons at ITE for 3 weeks block (block release) at start of each academic term (6 months), and one day per week (day release) while spend the remainder of the work-week at the workplace for OJT.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must meet the following minimum entry requirements:

  1. ITE graduates from any one of the following courses + pass company screening & interview;

    Nitec with GPA ≥ 2:

    • All courses from School of Business & Services
    • All courses from School of Hospitality
    • Dental Assisting

    Higher Nitec:

    • All courses from School of Business & Services
    • All courses from School of Hospitality
    • Business Information Systems
    • Engineering with Business

    OR

  2. In-service employees+ with:
    • Equivalent qualifications such as Workplace Literacy & Numeracy (WPLN) Level 5 and above
    • Relevant work experience
    • Strong employer endorsement

+In-service employee may be invited for an admission interview
