The Work-Study Diploma seeks to equip trainees with the skills, knowledge and professional attributes to manage the operations at an attraction or a travel establishment in order to provide exemplary service experience for customers.
Trainees will acquire skills in the operations of attractions, resorts, travel and tour operators, customer behaviour analytics, content curation and digital marketing as well as sustainable tourism practices application.
Prerequisite:
A team player with strong customer service experience providing frontline services to guests in the tourism industry. Trainees may need to perform rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
Job Role:
The job role of a Travel Consultant includes and not limited to planning and arranging customers’ travel experiences. Other roles include providing recommendation or expert advice on destinations, accommodations, transportation options, activities and travel itineraries that enables customers to make informed decisions. The consultant coordinates inbound and outbound tours, implement enhanced precautionary measures to ensure safe travels.
The job role of an Attraction Host includes and not limited to providing an engaging and informative experience for guests at the attraction. Other roles include providing a safe and enjoyable experience for guests, crowd management, safety instructions and enhancing the overall guest experience.
Training pattern:
Hybrid Release (subject to changes) - Trainees attend daily lessons at ITE for 4 weeks block (block release) at start of each academic year, and one day per week (day release) while spend the remainder of the work-week at the workplace
for OJT.
