You will acquire the knowledge and skills needed to handle refrigerants during the installation and maintenance of residential air-conditioning systems.

What you'll learn

  • Recovery of refrigerant
  • Testing and commissioning of residential air-conditioning systems
  • Installation and maintenance of split-type air conditioners, with a focus on: (a) Leak testing methods (b) Evacuation and charging methods (c) Refrigerant handling process (charging and pump down process)

 

Entry Requirements

This is an intermediate-level course.
Participants must have the ability to read and write in English, and have successfully completed the one of the following:

1) Air-Conditioning – R32 Safety Awareness Training
2) CoC in Installation & Commissioning Air-conditioning Systems (R32 Split Unit)
3) Supervise Workplace Safety and Health Practices (certified by Daikin)

Participants are to submit proof of entry-requirement at the point of registration.

Note: Participants will have their Name (and company, if company sponsored) published in NEA's website under the List of R32 installers. If participants prefer not to have their information published, they must notify ITE before the course begins.
