This Work-Study Diploma course aims to equip trainees with the skills, knowledge and professional attributes to effectively supervise the delivery of care services in Community Care Organisations, such as Nursing Homes, Senior Care Centres and Active Ageing Centres.

 

Prerequisite:

  • Work well with others in a team environment
  • Able to articulate and discuss ideas, thoughts and information effectively to achieve common outcomes
  • Able to understand and co-relate information from multiple disciplines to synthesise knowledge and insights, as well as  guide decisions

 

Job Role:

A Community Care Executive provide care delivery, administration and operations support, engage stakeholders and management of care staff and volunteers.

 

Training pattern:

Day Release (subject to changes)Trainees attend lessons at ITE for two day per a week and spend the remainder of the work-week at the workplace for OJT.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must meet the following minimum entry requirements:

  1. ITE graduates from any one of the following courses + pass company screening & interview;
    • Nitec with GPA ≥ 2
      • All courses from School of Health Sciences
      • All courses from School of Business & Services
      • Hospitality Operations
    • Higher Nitec:
      • All Courses from School of Health Sciences
      • All Courses from School of Business & Services
      • Hospitality Operations

    OR

  2. In-service employees+ with:
    • WSQ Advanced Certificate in Healthcare (Community Care)
    • Equivalent qualifications such as Workplace Literacy & Numeracy (WPLN) Level 5 and above
    • Relevant work experience
    • Strong employer endorsement

+In-service employee may be invited for an admission interview
