In today’s connected world, implementing effective cyber security measures is crucial as cyber-attacks are occurring at an alarming rate with the pervasiveness of the Internet and attackers becoming more innovative. 

This diploma course prepares you for a professional career in the Cyber Security sector. You will be equipped with the skills and knowledge to manage server and network security infrastructure, perform security assessment and testing, threat detection, incident response, as well as digital forensics operation in accordance with the compliance policy and procedure so as to build resilient defence against cyber-attacks for business.

 

Prerequisite:

Able to anticipate actions taken by black hat hackers, ability to work at speed and under pressure to make decision in real time, curious nature to seek new vulnerability in the system before they become weakness, and an eager learner to stay on top of continuous evolving cybersecurity landscape.

 

Job Role:

The job role of an Associate Cyber Security Engineer includes but not limited to manage server and network security infrastructure, perform security assessment and testing, threat detection, incident response, as well as digital forensics operation in accordance with the compliance policy and procedure so as to build resilient defence against cyber-attacks for business.

 

Training Pattern:

Block Release (subject to changes) -- Trainees attend daily lessons at ITE for a continuous period and then resume the next block of OJT at the workplace.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must meet the following minimum entry requirements:

  1. ITE graduates from any one of the following courses + pass company screening & interview;

    Nitec with GPA ≥ 2:

    • All courses from School of Electronics & Info-Comm Technology

    Higher Nitec:

    • All courses from School of Electronics & Info-Comm Technology

    OR

  2. In-service employees+ with:
    • Equivalent qualifications such as Workplace Literacy & Numeracy (WPLN) Level 5 and above
    • Relevant work experience
    • Strong employer endorsement

+In-service employee may be invited for an admission interview
