Job Role:

As a Security Systems Engineer / Security Project Engineer, you'll be the mastermind behind protecting people, places, and precious info.

Your mission:

  • Lead the charge: Manage security projects from start to finish.
  • Keep it safe: Install and maintain top-notch security systems.
  • Spot the threats: Conduct security audits to find and fix vulnerabilities.
  • Build the fortress: Design and set up network infrastructure for ultimate security.
  • Be the tech wizard: Troubleshoot problems and provide expert support

 

Training pattern:

Block Release - Trainees attend daily lessons at ITE for a continuous period and then resume the next block of OJT at the workplace.

What you'll learn

  • Design security systems which include video analytics, facial and biometrics identification and intruder detection. 
  • Build the network that supports security systems, including things like WiFi,  storage and cybersecurity.
  • Plan and manage security projects from start to finish.
  • Organize your work by creating schedules and gathering resources.
  • Keep an eye on things by assessing security needs and monitoring operations.
  • Fix problems by regularly checking and maintaining security systems.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must meet the following minimum entry requirements:

  1. ITE graduates from any one of the following courses + pass company screening & interview;

    Nitec with GPA ≥ 2:

    • All courses from School of Engineering
    • All courses from School of Electronics & Info-Comm Technology

    Higher Nitec:

    • All courses from School of Engineering
    • All courses from School of Electronics & Info-Comm Technology

    OR

  2. In-service employees+ with:
    • Equivalent qualifications such as Workplace Literacy & Numeracy (WPLN) Level 5 and above
    • Relevant work experience
    • Strong employer endorsement

    +In-service employee may be invited for an admission interview

  3. Free from colour appreciation deficiency
